Description Letter dated 24 Sept. 1945 to Edith Lenora Worman signed by R.B. Shapiro, Capt., Ordnance Department, with notification to report to separation and transfer center on 28 Sept. 1945 for reduction in force effective 3 November 1945. Employees with accrued leave would be paid through 3 November. All others would be on leave without pay. "I strongly urge you to return to the Arsenal and clear through the Separation and Transfer Center. You may use the regular buses for this purpose. Be sure to bring with you your pass, button, locker keys, and Arsenal property clearance slips to avoid having your pay checks held up. By so doing, you will be able to speed the refunding of your retirement monies; make certain that your records are in proper shape in the event you should seek Civil Service employment later; help to be sure that your pay checks for leave are promptly received; and receive a CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE. In addition, it may be possible to place you in another position elsewhere." Final paragraph.
