Snapshot of Dorothy Clark Wortman (1905-1995), with her husband Chester F. Wortman (1907-1943), Pfc, 31st Signal Construction Battalion. The picture was taken in 1942. Chester was killed when the HMT Rohna was sunk by a German missile in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Algeria, November 27, 1943. Dorothy worked in defense industry plants in Paterson, NJ. |
