"I recall one day in the summer, prior to the first academic year in 1968, driving what seemed like an interminable amount of time westward on Route 10, until I finally arrived at this location, where CCM was going to be. And I looked over the grassy area, which had some bulldozers and things moving around some dirt, and I thought, 'Wow, this is really something. This is actually going to be a college, and I can be on the ground floor to help build it.' So it was exciting."
