ROSIE THE RIVETER

MORRIS COUNTY WOMEN DURING WORLD WAR II

While New Jersey’s participation in World War II is well-documented, the history of Rosie the Riveters specifically in Morris County is largely untold. This project is dedicated to documenting and preserving the experiences and memories of those Morris County women who contributed to the war effort on the home front through their service in the defense industry.  In addition, it is hoped that this project will serve as a testament to the historical and social significance of these women by acknowledging their role in New Jersey history.

CCM's Rosie Luncheon Certificate

CCM's "Rosie" Luncheon was held on October 20, 2005  to honor the women of Morris County who worked as a part of the war effort. Twenty-three "Rosies" were in attendance and shared their stories, photos, and memorabilia with us.
