The Motion Picture Association of America
announces ratings that indicate a film's thematic and content
stability for audiences in answer to religiously motivated
complaints about sex, violence, and profanity in the movies. |

Richard M. Nixon wins the presidential race over Hubert
Humphrey. Nixon receives 45% of the vote with Humphrey receiving
42% and Wallace receiving 13%. Nixon vows to "restore law &

Shirley Chisholm becomes the first African-American to win a

snowfall on the campus, making for difficult traveling

COUNTY LIBRARY OPENS
The county library moves from it's space in the Morris County
courthouse to the new library location on Hanover Avenue.

WOMEN'S LIBERATION CONFERENCE*
The first national meeting of the Women's Lib movement occurs in
Chicago. Over 200 women from 37 states and Canada attend to
discuss women's rights. |
